What is Elllo?

Elllo is a friendly AI voice agent designed to bring phone call experience into the modern era. When you don’t answer your phone, instead of going to voicemail, your personal AI receptionist talks to the caller - a conversation so natural, your callers will forget they're talking to the AI.

Why did you build Ello?

Elllo is like having your own receptionist.

People keep their phones on silent and don’t pick up calls at all, thanks to the abundance of phishing, scam, and spam calls, resulting in most calls going to voicemail - a service that was created in the 1970s and hasn’t been updated much since!

With Elllo, you get a modern app, notifications in your favourite apps, a short, one-line summary of the call, and a personalized AI voice agent experience.

How does it work?

When you sign up for Elllo, we create a unique, personalized AI voice agent just for you. When you don’t answer your phone, your call gets forwarded to your agent’s unique phone number, so it works even if your phone is off. Your agent will then send you a summary of the call by email or text, along with the transcript and a recording.
